This Privacy Policy describes how ADVISR ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and handles information when you visit this website or use the ADVISR desktop application (the "Service"). We keep this document plain and honest — read it once and you'll know exactly where you stand.
1. Information We Collect
This website
This site does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or any third-party behavioral trackers. We do not set cookies. If you click a purchase link and complete a transaction, Lemon Squeezy acts as the merchant of record and handles your payment and order data. We receive only the information Lemon Squeezy makes available to us, such as your email address, order reference, and licence status, so we can deliver and administer your purchase.
The ADVISR desktop application
The desktop app connects to the following external services to function:
- Experimental market data sources — the experimental data path may make requests from your machine to public or unofficial third-party endpoints. Those providers' own terms and privacy policies govern your use of those sources.
- Local storage — market-data configuration and cached analysis remain on the device running ADVISR. Optional LAN access is served directly by that device.
- MarketData API — options chain and market data provider. Requests from your machine are routed through MarketData's servers. Their own privacy policy governs data handling on their infrastructure.
- Lemon Squeezy — merchant of record and licence-validation provider. Checkout occurs on Lemon Squeezy's infrastructure, and the companion application may contact Lemon Squeezy to activate or validate a licence.
The app does not collect usage analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry that identifies you personally. No trade data, watchlists, or notes you enter in the app are transmitted to our servers.
2. How We Use Information
Information we receive from Lemon Squeezy is used solely to:
- Deliver and administer course access and companion-tool licences.
- Respond to inquiries you initiate.
- Send critical purchase or product notices when necessary.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
Our Service relies on the following third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review:
- Experimental market data sources — review the applicable source terms before using them.
- MarketData API — refer to their privacy policy at their official website.

4. Data Retention
We retain purchase records, such as your email address, transaction reference, and licence status, for as long as necessary to administer your course access and comply with applicable legal obligations. If you request deletion, contact us using the email address below and we will remove your data to the extent permitted by law.
5. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
6. Security
We implement reasonable technical measures to protect information in our possession. No internet transmission or electronic storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top. Material changes will be communicated via the website or by email if we hold your address. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
